Everything started with this video.
It was a hot summer Friday. We were preparing to go to Richard's parents in Pakruoji. At the time I was just doing a bit of sales for Raypath products and Richard had a couple of other things going on.
On that day, Ričardas says: maybe let's make a video on how to clean windows with cloths, and let's play the video only for Pakruoj and the districts around Pakruoj (this can be set when paid advertising is launched on Facebook). Ričardas, who speaks perfectly correct Lithuanian, spoke in the video with the accent of his region. Juk video - saviems, ane? Pakruojians will recognize that it is easier for people to identify with themselves.
We shot this video…which I REALLY didn't like. You could see the imperfect order of the house and I didn't look perfect to myself.
But that's already the case with these practical videos - usually it's not possible to re-film, because the surface has already been cleaned. We have one chance.
Ričardas reassured me that everything is fine here, because we will not upload the video to our page, but will only play it as an advertisement for one small region of LT, where practically no one knows me (at that time, I really cared about what my acquaintances would say).
So, after "creating" the advertisement for this video, we went to Pakruoi. …We didn't expect this level of interest and such an abundance of messages which is not usually the case with advertisements. It usually takes time to work on it consistently and professionally and a lot of money invested to achieve even a fraction of the result we achieved that weekend. We were really just lucky.
We had quite a few meetings, sales and even our first product launch that weekend. We sold out all the items and accepted advance orders, which we sent to buyers when we returned to Vilnius.
I also want to mention that this video is far from staying only in the vicinity of Pakruoj. The very next day it was shared by my parents in Alytus, friends in Vilnius, etc. I have no idea how this ad reached them. And it was one of our most successful, one of our most viewed, and one of our highest selling videos to date.
What did we learn from this video? So that you don't need polished advertisements - we clean the house not with high heels and not with evening make-up. And the house is not always in perfect order. There are places that we forget and after a while we see how much everything has accumulated there. And you know what? Most of them do. Especially with those who comment under some videos: "it's not clean, how can you be so round and so on". After all, what annoys us in others is what we don't like in ourselves.
Thanks to this video, practically all our other videos are filmed only once. With the idea that we have an amazing, quality, fast-growing audience that loves us for who we are - imperfect. THANK YOU that thanks to you we can stay authentic and do what we enjoy because we can be ourselves every day!
So, on the occasion that today is a sunny weekend and the start of the window cleaning season, we decided to share it with you.
